    Crap Has all the shows I want to watch, worked during the trial period and now that I’ve been charged I get messages that says it’s not valid in my country. I have the USA version and live there. If it’s not that then I get a bunch of different msgs as to why it won’t work. I’ve tried on three different devices and all have the same issues.

    I am unable to open Brit box app. I have used the app for moths and as of June 9 it does not open. I only get a black screen.

    AirPlay broken If you try and AirPlay, when the phone or tablet sleep, the video stops. Support are useless. Pretend issues don’t exist. Save your money.

    Bad reviews are true I should have taken caution based on the reviews of this app but I was stupid and hoped for the best. Right as I’m ready to watch my first program I receive an ‘this content is currently not available on this device’ error message. Britbox states it works on all Apple devices so I don’t understand what the issue is in play a show. I really hope the developers are reading these reviews, the app is horrible.

    Garbage I saw they had a seven day trial and thought what could go wrong. Evidently everything after seven days. After the seven day trial I was unable to watch videos as it informed me that I need to purchase a subscription. Now that’s strange as I had already done so. Upon contacting BritBox they told me I used a different email address when purchasing the subscription. I told them that was impossible I don’t have another email address. But they kept telling me over and over again how I used the wrong email or a different email when signing up. I told him that’s not possible, I don’t have a second email address. Furthermor, I signed up using my Apple TV and it only knows my Apple email address. Their customer service is argumentative and unhelpful. If someone obviously paid you money already and they’re unable to log into a previous account just go ahead and either refund them for one month or provide their existing account with service for one month. That’s how you keep customers. Constantly accusing them of impossible errors like my iPhone somehow missed saved the user name and password.

    Good content, worst app We like the content on Britbox but are frustrated with the apps both on iPad and Roku. Lack of ability to delete something from the "continue watching" list is a major pain. If you watch a short segment of a program to see if you like it, it remains in your "continue watching" list which just gets longer and longer and filled with stuff you decided not to finish watching. The service also buffers a lot. We have other streaming services and none of them have streaming problems like Britbox. Frustrating apps but just edged by the worthwhile content.

    Britbox Needs Work Content is good (could be better), App and Web interface needs to be better. Can't remove titles from "Continue to Watch" despite finishing entire series - really annoying, no "profiles/users" feature, fast forward is w.o real-time preview, etc..

    Credit where credit is due! Update I don’t know who thought this new design was a winner for BritBox but it’s a total clunker for users. The design is neither clean nor intuitive - it is in fact a total disaster. And who was the genius that decided you would force users to navigate this app in portrait mode only - even though your content is best viewed in landscape mode? Back in November you stated a new design would be delivered soon. You promised it would allow us to navigate and view content all in landscape mode. Remember that promise? Well, it’s February and while there have been updates, we are still forced to twist our iPads like we are clearing an Etch a Sketch just to view and navigate your content. Why? UPDATE Well, it took a while but the latest app update is a real winner. Gone are all the forced awkward gymnastics needed to search and play content. Now the app is smooth, intuitive, and it just plain works! Finally, an app worthy of the truly great content offered by BritBox.

    This app is really bad Compared to other steaming services, this app is way behind. Can’t download shows. It crashes ALOt. It automatically loads shows when clicking on a season.

    Still poor This is the second time I’ve started a subscription. And both times cancelling were due to glitchy steaming. Why pay for something that makes you unplug and do all these things just to watch it?I know it’s not my tv or internet when you have your own error message pop up. This is so frustrating because you have really good content. I don’t know how you keep customers honestly. I couldn’t turn my tv off because this app has it so hosed up! Come on guys it 2021 get someone in your department that can do something with this chronic issue! One star because you have decent content.

    Unable to Access Watched a couple of episodes the 1st of the 7 day trial. Tried to go back and see another episode several hours later. The app had kicked me out. When I tried to sign in, the sign in disappears. Tried deleting and downloading again and the same thing happened. Very disappointed.

    Where is my Watchlist? Some improvement lately, less buggy in the past few weeks. Rotating screen seems to be resolved. But in the past my Watch list had disappeared. App froze on my ipad and iPhone.

    Too much scrolling required Please reverse the order that the episodes are listed so newest are on top. Annoying to have to scroll down through three month's worth of episodes for a show that’s on several times a week to get to the current one.Also, the automatic switch between portrait and landscape view on an iPad needs to be stopped and made to use iPad's own setting.

    Terribly flawed app UPDATE: they finally gave us landscape mode on the iPad so I’m adding two more stars. Now if they would just give us a way to delete shows from the “continue watching” list other than to watch the entire thing. And if it’s a multiple series show, you have to go to the last episode of the last series and fast forward to near the end, and let it play all the way out to the end to remove it from continue watching. And even that doesn’t always work. This is a big deal because there are loads of things I preview and decide are not for me. The continue watching list becomes littered with don’t wants making it tedious to find those I do want to continue.

    Nice and responsive! I had to come update my review (and give them another star) after I got an email stating they’d fixed the browsing in landscape mode issue. Now if they could just make everything browsable in Amazon Prime, I’d be thrilled. Seriously, why can’t you browse in landscape mode? Ridiculous and aggravating. And most of the shows aren’t browsable in the Amazon prime app, so I have to find a programme I want to watch in the BritBox app, then search for it in the Amazon Prime app to watch it through there. If you’re going to have some sort of partnership with Amazon, why do it so miserably?

    Landscape mode, now need PiP I use my iPad almost exclusively in Landscape, so thanks for restoring it in version 2.0.6. Now we need Picture-in-Picture support. It's a video streaming app, so it needs PiP!

    Fantastic content, but repeated crashing I’m on the 2020 iPad Pro with 512 MBs of memory, and the app will continually crash at times. It’s a shame, because the content is excellent. But unlike the web and Roku apps, the iPadOS app is ridiculously unstable.

    “Service unavailable” Great content - when it works. Half through a show I get “service unavailable” and then I have to start the show over from the beginning, after I close and reload the app. It’s 2021, get your act together!

    Great Content - Closed Captioning Not Good We love the content, but the closed captioning functionality is confusing and poorly implemented. You cannot activate it in the same manner as most streaming apps (swipe up or down while watching and switch it on). The captions are also tiny (barely legible) and the caption style cannot be adjusted at all. Correcting both issues should be easy and inexpensive, yet they persist.

    Can’t Clear Continue Watching List I have contacted their support several times regarding the inability to clear the Continue Watching List. You used to be able to clear it by tapping/clicking on at X at the corner of the window but that option went away with the big update approximately six months ago. Other than that, I find it to be a good app with good content.

    I honestly cannot recommend this app/program, first off, you can’t download anything! this is one MAJOR flaw compared to other streaming apps. This app is also not made for anything above the iPhone 8, as there are many small UI bugs/issues. One more thing is that some series have episodes lost, but have them in OTHER regions, I don’t understand?

    Landscape mode for iPads I have been a subscriber for years and I love my Britbox, but please make the home pages available in landscape mode for iPads the highest of priorities. Other than the landscape issue, I think the upgrade is a great and a professionally looking improvement. Now (05/04/2021) Britbox has worked out the landscape issue that was requested with my previous review - it now looks great on my iPad Pro. Five stars easy — Thanks Britbox!

    Constant Crashing! I’ve had a BritBox subscription in the past and never had crashing issues. This time, it’s a different story. Constant crashing makes it impossible to enjoy watching shows, so I canceled my subscription - again.

    Font size Font size is not adjustable, too small, in white, and unreadable. Thank you for fixing the horizontal issue!! It’s been very annoying. Now if you could make the font size adjustable with a background, it would be 5 stars!

    Latest release much Improved This most recent release is much improved. Thanks for listening to the feedback, Britbox! I can only find some of my favourite shows on here, and the browsing and viewing is loads easier with this update. Landscape is the biggest improvement.

    Chromecast failure If you have android tv think twice. I have to uninstall and reinstall and sign in every time I use this app. Chromecast is required if you use android to watch Britbox and this app is badly flawed. Waste of time.

    Terrible app Wow what a terrible streaming app. Constant errors when I click on a show to watch or go back to the app. No Picture in Picture. And when I went back to the app after day one of signing up for it, it had completely signed me out. PRO TIP delete it and use your browser instead. Waaaaay better.

    Probably not the correct place for this...but BritBox is starting to punish you if your using the appletv app. One of the latest shows that has been dropping two shows a week has recently had the first of the two available and the second one says must be watched in the BritBox app and so you just cannot watch it in the appletv app. Thereby essentially cheating those that subscribe thru appletv of the latest episode. I can’t seem to find where anyone supports the apps in the appletv so I’m writing here to let people know. I guess I’ll need to subscribe through the app directly and not thru appletv if I want to be able to watch the latest shows however that leaves a bad taste in my mouth as I’m paying the same price through Apple TV and they won’t let you use your appletv login with the app so there is no way for me to see the latest show u til they unlock it to those that subscribe via appletv channel/app. It’s weird all the other shows except the latest one of the two that dropped this week 4/19/21 (give it take) are available in appletv just not the latest one. Sad as we had always liked BritBox...

    Could be better Good content, but this app could use some work. Would be great with a few tweaks. It only makes sense to give the browsing mode the ability to rotate to landscape, since when you are watching you’re most likely going to have your phone in landscape. Makes it very annoying for navigation. Would be really nice if it supported Picture in Picture mode, like Netflix does on the new iOS. That would make it much more seamless when you have to do something else on your phone or iPad while you are watching. Would also LOVE to have the option for 2 saved lists: the watchlist (which BritBox already has) and a favorites list. That way you can differentiate between shows you’ve already seen and will return to again and again, and shows that you want to watch for the first time.

    Frustrating First, it is extremely difficult to “continue where you left off”, despite the fact that there is a section specifically for that. Secondly, sometimes programs are available on the iPhone app but will not be available on my television, and visa versa. This can be worked around with Apple Play. Never the less it is annoying. Finally, the app does freeze. However, not as much as other users have described. *The company could have avoided this negative review if they had a customer service section that could be easily found. I do not usually write reviews, but since I was unable to contact customer support, I did this.**

    Worked fine for a month Used the app for a month on Apple TV with no problems apart from the strange navigation and the fact that the app always starts in S1 even though we are watching shows in S2. Then the home page disappeared. It coincided with the next monthly payment which I paid. I can watch shows through Apple TV app but the Britbox app just shows a grey screen. If we watch through Apple app then we only get access to that show and there is no navigation at the top of the screen allowing us to get anywhere else. I deleted the app and reinstalled but it didn’t help. Needless to say I will not be renewing which is a pity.

    The worst App I have ever used The content is decent but the technology and customer service are unacceptable. The BBC developer does not respond to requests and the technology requires extraordinary patience. I have had to delete and reload the app, the app fails to work until I resubscribe which happened on multiple occasions.... Its embarrasing that the Brits would allow such a terrible app out of their shop.

    Does this company not hire testers? How can something so phenomenally broken be released at all? It is baffling. Each update makes it less usable. It’s currently unusable and has been that way for months. I can’t ever get shows to load. When I reached out for customer support, I was told to just use the website. Now that’s broken too. What am I paying for?
