    Do not get this app!!! My child is virtually learning and they had a system update and they charged my credit card for school lunch that he cannot use. I chatted with them and spoke with a supervisor named Juan and they refused to refund their fee and said I have to get my money back from the school. Horrible customer service and they are thieves. Stay away!!! ☠️☠️☠️

    Poor Service With poor APP When I pulled the student account up & push make payment the payment is for my other son. I call the support number. Of course they took my money over the phone & said to reload the APP since every user has problems. Guess what??? Still doesn’t work after uninstalling & installing this kindergarten APP.

    Too over priced and breaks apples tos It charges you 2.50 for a fee when you even put in 2.00. And you have to pay directly to them and it’s not linked to the App Store.

    Literally useless One has to think how hard it is to simply have an app that provides and up to date balance of how much $$$ is left in ones child’s school lunch account! It must be really ground breaking coding to put that in when SO many other apps can do that! Forget showing me the transactions just providing me with the current balance would literally be earth shattering at this point. This entire year this app has failed to do that. I have no idea if they are debiting my child’s account when she orders lunch or if so how much is left in the account. And if I get a notice or some sort of public shaming for unpaid lunch bills for my child later this year I think I’ll sue them! I mean think about it. You make and app so parents can easily access your kids balance remaining for lunch money and load more on so they don’t run out. This app does NOTHING to help you do that. Nada! Zero! Get some programmers who can fix it and make it work!

    Needs to Include School Staff This would be a better app if it included accounts for all school students and staff members because the cafeterias do not have debit card readers. This way teachers and other staff can upload money for lunches as well because we like to order and eat food from the cafeteria too from time to time.

    Fees What charging us fees! Prices on lunch are already expensive. You should pay for the fees that Banks Are Charging for the use of a credit or debit card.

    Ok, when it works. Today tried to pay several invoices through the app and was unable to. Click on pay invoice now, but it doesn’t add them to your shopping cart.

    Fees! $2.50 in fees for every transaction! No matter if I add funds with a checking account or credit card! App is slow! Only thing I like is that I can see if my daughter buys lunch or breakfast...

    Fee charged everytime you add money! It lags and freezes. Difficult to navigate. The worse part is this app charges you about $3 to add funds to your account! Everytime! That is ridiculous! Better be sending cash for my kid to bring in school!

    Why?! I have 5 kids, having five separate accounts is STUPID!!! There should be family accounts so I can’t put money in one place not five. Obviously each student gets charged by their ID number but I should only have to put money in one spot. I hate that our schools use this system.

    My School Bucks For all the money spent on this app could you not hire someone competent to manage it? Difficult to access, difficult to navigate. The sight is down 2-3 times a week What is wrong with your server? It is the slowest on the net and denies me access because of “errors”.

    Don’t refund balances Had money left on account when student had unexpected long term absence. They did not refund my balance and closed account.

    Convenient but fail at refunds The MySchoolBucks app is simple and easy to use. It’s near perfect, EXCEPT: When you leave the school district, they can’t process refunds. That makes the app incapable of giving back the $50-100 or so you have put in for multiple children, assuming you want to make sure they don’t run out. They claim you have to contact the district, which I have yet to try, but if you’ve ever worked with school districts you know this can be hit or miss to get it done. I don’t suggest this is mal-intent, but it is an unusual process to use an app for all the payments, but they can’t transfer the money in your account back. It’s almost enough for me to give it a 1-star, but everything else works really well.

    Very Convenient I have had this app for almost a month now and so far I’ve had no problems with it. I can keep a good look on my kids lunch balance at all times. I can also make a lunch payment from my phone, which is nice too. I don’t what problems other people seemed to have but mine works perfectly fine. Maybe they saw the reviews and fixed the bug?

    Useless Obviously you have to have your child’s account information to join. After several years...you don’t remember their number...especially if you have more than one kid. If your kid denies using their account, and you can’t find their account number anywhere under your profile... If you text to ask...they tell you to contact the school. THAT IS GREAT SINCE THEY ARE ON A 3 WEEK MANDATORY BAN FOR THE CORONAVIRUS. You are USELESS. ABSOLUTELY USELESS. I’m sure you didn’t call me or ask my bank to make sure my account was ok to make a payment on his account? IDIOTS. I’ll never use this again.

    Needs a few improvements I would have rather wrote the developer as this is not a complaint but a customer focus review. .. because there is a fee to pay, payments should be instant especially coming from a credit card Once paid, it should apparent.. currently, after I’d paid, I was not sure if the payment went through.. I search several screens before I found a spot in very small writing that the payment was pending. There should be an invoice that could be printed for records to keep track of payments and spending. The invoice should go back as far as customer has been using the MySchoolBucks service... this helps parents budget or talk to there student about there spending habits by comparing past dates. And lastly, should be able to allow parents to pay for the entire year instead of piecing payments out. I originally wanted to send $600... some users would probably want to pay it up to get rid of the thought of lunch...if you have a concern of fees, charge the larger accordingly...(maybe a percentage).

    App works and is easy to set-uo The app seems to work well, and was easy to set-up and is pretty easy to navigate. I haven’t used the app to add $ to my child’s account so I can’t speak to how low/high the fees are, however that is not something that is unique to this app. The previous app our district used did the same. The aspect I appreciate most about this app is the ability to setup notifications/alerts when the balance is low and you can set the dollar amount that triggers the alert- in my case I did $10. Sending a check in to the school with my kids has never been an issue- they’ve never lost the checks, they just don’t always get turned in the same day. There is no fee for adding money to the account via check

    Horrible Platform! Cannot Delete Account! This app/program is terrible. There is no way to delete the account. I have searched the FAQs, the internet, and the entire site and app to find out how to delete my account. I would not recommend this app to anyone under these circumstances!

    Request modification to application We have three kids attending elementary school and two in high school. Paying for each transaction is costly, it should be one transaction per household, especially if it is one account withdrawal. Parents should be able to put restrictions on purchases aka if the child wishes to get multiple snacks and lunch. I should be able to set a restriction/alert so the student does not over eat or waste food. You should also be able to turn off ‘automatic payments’ through the application. You must use a browser to do this and I am not sure why. Overall decent application but could use a few modifications. Thanks.

    Good concept Poorly executed I wouldn’t mind paying such a high cost for transactions if the app actually worked properly. My sons accounts often don’t reflect updates for weeks at a time. Highly problematic. Even if I uninstall and reinstall the app which is a pain, it usually doesn’t correct it.

    Don’t use app with multiple kids I have four kids. From the website you can add money to all kids accounts with one $2.49 transaction fee. That is already expensive to me. But on the app you can only add money to one kids account at a time and it seems you get the transaction fee for each one. Total rip off

    I wish I could not give it ANY STARS Fees, fees and more fees! I’m not sure who to be made at the app or the school for using it. I tried sending money in with my daughter to pay for lunch vs putting money on here and I guess they apply the change to the account? Yet I never seen it. It’s ridiculous you load $5 on their account and get fees of almost $3 when you have 3 kids that’s a lot of money and will buy one meal. It’s just the whole situation is crap! For $20 a week we now pack everyday and the girls get a better lunch anyway. I would not feed into this. Just pack your kids lunches.

    Good App: No additional fee charged. There was no extra fee added to the payment. The extra fees might have been earlier but no more fee now. I added fund to meal account. The App is very convenient.

    The App simply doesn’t do its job I thought it was going to be great at keeping track of my kids school lunches, but this App clearly does not reflect the actual happenings in the school on a day to day basis. Not only that, but it keeps sending me an overdue bill, but the platform it uses to process the payments has turned grey and wont let me click on my payment method. I cancelled and re-downloaded the App and made sure there were no updates and it still wont let me process the payments!!!. Ive paid the school directly, but the App keeps sending me Bills!!

    25% Service Fee? I used this app for the first time to put funds in my daughters school lunch account. I added $10 and was charged a $2.50 service fee. Are you kidding me? A school lunch is $2.45. I can afford the fee but there are plenty of parents out there who are struggling enough as it is. Shameful that any school district receiving federal funds would allow low income parents to be robbed like this.

    Reinstate the a la carte control options This was a great app until they removed the settings where you could control whether your child is allowed to make a la carte purchases and set a daily or weekly limit. I sent a message to app support about these nonsensical changes, but haven’t heard back yet.

    Terrible Not only do you pay a fee to put money in your kids account, but my app isn’t updating my son’s balance. It keeps going into the negative, and the school has to call to notify me. His balance is always in the positive per the app AND the website. I’ve tried to call and could not get through to anyone, I’ve tried to do online chat, and still “waiting” to be connected to representative. Fix your product/app/company, or stop offering your services please.

    Glitch- multiple accounts Last year, the app showed me three accounts and I could load money to all three accounts. This year- I can see all three accounts. I can only load money to the first account- it won’t even allow the option of loading the other two accounts. I have to go to the website. And the App Store says I’m not due for an update. This is aggravating.

    Terrible App and Predatory Service Heartland Payment Systems is one awful company who have designed their business model to prey on the less fortunate. They could easily have taken a percentage rather than a $2.49 fee per transaction which. What else would you expect from a company in the “heartland”, Midwest, flyover state, servicing, nasty, greedy company. The app itself is extremely poor quality but it reflects well on this classless company.

    Thieves What a bunch of crooks. Tried adding money to two kids’ accounts. The useless App completed the transaction half way through and charged me before I had added money to the second account. When I contacted them and explained what happened they wouldn’t stand behind the app and wanted me to pay a second time. No way - never using them again. It’s only a $2.49 charge but they don’t even care enough to waive it. Happy to upset a customer over $2.49. Now an ex-customer.

    Updated and I can’t use it.. The app updated and now I can’t even add money to my child’s account. I can’t even see the balance of what is left. Shouldn’t have updated it before it was fine... how am I suppose to put money on my child’s account when the app doesn’t even work. I could give her money but my child doesn’t always remember to use her cash. This app now has just become useless... disappointed..
